Check out this preciously unheard 2Pac song featured on the new “My Only Fear Of Death” Official Mixtape released October 16th, 2010

Hey, why have drama
nigga, your baby mama stay right around the corner
I could touch her if I fucking wanna
so why you want insist on this
i got your name at the top of fucking dead bitch list
meet Mr Machiavelli’s terror
back of the year, thug of the era
death row and Outlawz, nobody does this shit better
my lyrics explode on contact
best prepare for combat
aint no stopping so bomb back
it’s the last days, nigga’s is dying for bullshit..

Bob Marley & The Wailers // Wages Of Love (unreleased alternate take)

One Love at Studio One 1964-1966 chronicles the urgent and early artistry of Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, and of course, Bob Marley. These historic sessions, recorded at the legendary Studio One in Kingston, showcase the embryonic stage of the Wailers band, backed by the Skatalites, The Mighty Vikings, Rita Marley, Junior Braithwaite, and many of Jamaica’s finest musicians.

Even on these old discs, Marley steals the show with his riveting and revolutionary vocals, as evidenced by the pulsing, prehistoric renditions of “Simmer Down,” “Hooligan Ska,” and his anthem “One Love.”

Several unreleased tracks and alternate takes—like Marley and company’s riff on the Beatles’ “And I Love Her,” and a rare rehearsal track, “Wages of Love"—reveal their stylistic range and work ethic. To put it in evolutionary terms, this collection traces reggae’s musical and philosophical DNA down to its R&B, doo-wop, Rastafarian, ska, and rock steady roots. - Eugene Holley, Jr.

J Dilla // Clap Your Hands Freestyle (Unreleased)

I got this one on a cassette from T3 circa 1997.  I’m not sure what it was for, or why Dilla had this on tape, but I thought it was hilarious.  “Shut the Fuck Up and listen to this… this.”   This kind of style was typical for our crew at this time – we were just finishing up the Fantastic Vol 1 album.  It was never about what they said – but instead how they said it.  We called it “R.A.W.” –  Rugged And wild.  And that is exactly what this one is – tape hiss and all.

Enjoy

Turn it Up! Waajeed unearthed a ‘Rugged and Wild’ Jay Dee freestyle from way back in ‘97!

Raphael Saadiq // They Don’t Know ft. Ledisi & Common (prod. Steve Spacek)

Back in 2004 Raphael Saadiq opened his studio doors to Spacek to produce an album for one of his sub-labels. The album was suppose to be called Pookie Blue Room and features 10 songs produced by both Steve and Morgan with Raphael singing on all of them and featuring guest appearances by Common , Q-Tip , Ledisi, Steve Spacek and Sir Bentley (you know it was 2004 when you see Sir Bentley’s name, ahaha)…anyhow the album was never completed and therefor never released.

How can music this good go unreleased?
