is the experience..

I’ve been traveling since my youth searching for experiences of truth. An old soul back again to discover what I left uncovered. I love to love and live to laugh. Enrolled in a school called Knowledge of Self. Paying attention is my drug. Learning to live Life like music and flow with the rhythm, careful not to miss a beat. A renaissance man, Life is my art project. An habitual nomad, I roam to evolve. Music and cannabis are my constant companions. Interested in people, i’m always searching for my tribe. The beauty of the wilderness is the closest i’ve come to experiencing Truth.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.

Occupy Wall Street is leaderless resistance movement with people of many colors, genders and political persuasions. The one thing we all have in common is that We Are The 99% that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1%.

Occupy Wall Street // Police brutality, media blackout

As Occupy Wall Street demonstrations enter their second week, over 80 people were arrested over the weekend and police brutality surges on the streets.  Many protesters say the mainstream media is undergoing a black-out since many corporate networks sleep in the same bed with Wall Street.

It’s hardly surprising that the police act with brutality or that the main stream media turns a blind eye to what is happening, what is surprising is that the crowd hasn’t reached its target of 20 thousand people in a city of millions.

Where is the people power?  Where is our solidarity?  Where is the action?

Hey jammers,
#OCCUPYWALLSTREET is happening right now at Liberty Plaza!
It started last Saturday, when 5,000 Americans descended on to the financial district of Lower Manhattan, waved signs, unfurled banners, beat drums, chanted slogans and proceeded to walk towards the “financial Gomorrah” of the nation. They vowed to “occupy Wall Street” and to “bring justice to the bankers”, but the New York police thwarted their efforts, locking down the symbolic street with barricades and checkpoints. Undeterred, protesters walked laps around the area before holding a people’s assembly and setting up a semi-permanent protest encampment in a park on Liberty Street, a stone’s throw from Wall Street and a block from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Three hundred spent the night, several hundred reinforcements arrived the next day and as we write this, the encampment is digging in for a long-term stay. #OCCUPYWALLSTREET has been established in Zuccotti Park, which has now been renamed Liberty Plaza. With Liberty Plaza liberated, and acting as a base in the financial district, the indignados have been sending out raiding parties to nearby Wall Street and beyond.
Bravo to those courageous souls in the encampment on New York’s Liberty Street. Every night that #OCCUPYWALLSTREET continues will escalate the possibility of a full-fledged global uprising against business as usual.
Now, it is crucial for everyone from all over the world to flock to the encampment. Call in to work sick, invite your friends and hop on a bus or plane to New York City.
We need you at Liberty Plaza!

Occupy Wall Street Protest Enters Second Week; 80 Arrested at Peaceful March

It is day 10 of the “Occupy Wall Street” campaign. On Saturday, more than 80 protesters were arrested as hundreds took part in yet another march to Wall Street. Many of them were committing civil disobedience by walking in the street, but some say they were on the sidewalk when officers with the New York City Police Department used nets and physical force to break up the crowd. Videos uploaded to YouTube show officers pepper-spraying protesters in the face from close range, punching demonstrators and dragging people through the street. Since Sept. 17, thousands have gathered near in New York City’s financial district near Wall Street to decry corporate greed, many have said to have been inspired by other popular uprisings from Spain to the Arab Spring. On Sunday, protesters issued a communique calling for the resignation of the NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly, and for a dialogue with Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Thanks to Democracy Now!’s Ryan Deveraux and Jon Gerberg for this video report.

Immortal Technique // Occupy Wall St. is America’s Awakening

The young revolutionary movement Occupy Wall Street needs to be pushed forward to evolve into a working force that can influence US domestic affairs, believes Immortal Technique, a hip-hop star who has backed the group from the start. As the demonstrations against the Wall Street corporations enter their fourth week in New York, elsewhere they have grown into a nationwide protest with 45 states and nearly 200 cities now involved in the rally. “The recent movement is the biggest expression of democracy in the past few decades here in America,” states Immortal Technique, who has become one of the spokespersons for the movement. What started out as a peaceful movement has now been plagued by unrest in the Big Apple, where confrontations between demonstrators and police are only becoming tenser. Police brutality has become a tripping point for the escalation of people’s anger, the rapper believes. When the pictures hit the internet, they went viral. “We saw a bunch of defenseless people simply expressing their freedom — and they were penned off, they were sprayed down, being obviously not in danger of harming any police officers. And ‘white shirts’ did not seem to be held responsible for it, as if they were almost above the law,” the artist explains. The reaction from the city authorities is biased and aimed at intensifying the protests, so they can portray them in a dishonest manner in the media, argues Immortal Technique.

Occupy Wall Street Organizer: Protest Expands Despite Police Effort to "Silence" Demonstrators

Now in its fourth week, the Occupy Wall Street encampment has attracted thousands of demonstrators who continue to tackle the challenges of self-organizing and building a movement. As their numbers swell and the media debates who they are, the Democracy Now! team packed up our gear and headed to Zuccotti Park in Lower Manhattan to hear people speak for themselves. We first talk to Justin Wedes, an organizer with Occupy Wall Street. He describes how New York City police have arrested people for peacefully demonstrating and exerting their free speech rights. “The reaction has been—and I think the whole world sees it now—that every time that you try to silence peaceful protests, you just get an explosion of new support. And I think that’s what’s happened. And it really bares sort of naked the truth about who the NYPD serve and protect. And if that’s not the people… then we have a problem.”
