is the experience..

I’ve been traveling since my youth searching for experiences of truth. An old soul back again to discover what I left uncovered. I love to love and live to laugh. Enrolled in a school called Knowledge of Self. Paying attention is my drug. Learning to live Life like music and flow with the rhythm, careful not to miss a beat. A renaissance man, Life is my art project. An habitual nomad, I roam to evolve. Music and cannabis are my constant companions. Interested in people, i’m always searching for my tribe. The beauty of the wilderness is the closest i’ve come to experiencing Truth.

Notorious B.I.G. Bigger Than Life
Documentary Synopsis
Hip hop fans know just what a remarkable impact the late Notorious B.I.G. had on the world of modern music, and in this documentary filmmakers come closer to uncovering the man behind the myth than ever before. His loose, silky smooth flow and unique rhyme style made him stand well apart from the pack, yet despite his success Notorious B.I.G. would eventually become an unfortunate victim of the violent East Coast-West Coast hip-hop feud. With seldom seen home video footage, newly-released interview captured shortly before his death, footage of the crime scene, and recollections from such close friends and collaborators as Easy Mo Bee, Raekwon, Ditty, and Method Man, this comprehensive portrait of a hip hop superstar will have fans dusting off their old copies of Life After Death for another, nostalgic listen.

I thought that this documentary was done very well, it is worth watching for the Method Man interview alone.

Sam Cooke: Crossing Over (PBS Documentary)

Narrated by Danny Glover, the film features archival footage and interviews with Cooke’s family and intimates including Muhammad Ali, Herb Albert, James Brown, Dick Clark, Smokey Robinson, Jerry Wexler, and more

Skateistan: To Live And Skate Kabul is a beautifully shot film that follows the lives of a group of young skateboarders in Afghanistan. Operating against the backdrop of war and bleak prospects, the Skateistan charity project is the world’s first co-educational skateboarding school, where a team of international volunteers work with girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 17, an age group largely untouched by other aid programmes.

I watched this short documentary today.  I recommend taking 9 minutes to watch this.

Carts of Darkness (documentary)

Murray Siple’s feature-length documentary follows a group of homeless men who have combined bottle picking with the extreme sport of racing shopping carts down the steep hills of North Vancouver. This subculture shows that street life is much more than the stereotypes portrayed in mainstream media. The film takes a deep look into the lives of the men who race carts, the adversity they face and the appeal of cart racing despite the risk. Shot in high-definition and featuring tracks from Black Mountain, Ladyhawk, Vetiver, Bison, and Alan Boyd of Little Sparta.

Currently watching this amazing documentary.

Catching Out: a film about people hopping freight trains

The phrase ‘Catching Out’ describes the act of hopping a freight train. In the documentary film “Catching Out,” several contemporary hobos dissent against mainstream American consumer culture by traveling for free on freight trains. The film features a seasoned eco-activist named Lee, a young nomad named Jessica, and a tramp couple known as Switch and Baby Girl. In three interwoven stories, “Catching Out” follows these trainhoppers as they navigate between the constraints of society and the freedom of the road.

Run from the Cure // The Rick Simpson Story

This is the story of the man who rediscovered cannabis oil as a cure to cancer.  Everybody should take the time to know the Rick Simpson story.

What If Cannabis Cured Cancer?

Harvard already proved it could cure cancer, it was on the news just a few months ago.

(submitted by govermint)

I watched an interview with the producer of “What If Cannabis Cured Cancer” and he said that they were going to call it “The Cure” but was informed that it is illegal to call anything the cure!  Apparently they don’t want us to know that cannabis oil cures cancer!

Emperor of Hemp: The Jack Herer Story

When Jack Herer died on April 15, 2010, the world lost a true American Original. He was one of those larger-than-life kind of guys. When he walked into a room he owned it. You couldn’t take your eyes off him. And you couldn’t ignore him either … he wouldn’t allow it.

Jack’s entire being was defined by his cause, and his pledge to fight every day until cannabis was legal, until he was dead, or until he turned 84. Jack took that pledge seriously and never stopped fighting, literally giving his last breath for the cause.

This is the best documentary I have seen on Hemp and how it can save the world.  You can stream the whole movie here for free»

Krishnamurti - The Real Revolution (part 1 of 2)

Watching this documentary was one of the most memorable experiences of my life.

This 30-minute documentary is the first from an original series of eight made for television in 1966. They were the earliest sound-films of Krishnamurti speaking to audiences.

“WHAT IF CANNABIS CURED CANCER” wins 2010 Stony Award from High Times Magazine (featured in January 2011 issue).
Using original and archival footage, the 60 minute documentary presents highly convincing evidence that this forbidden herb has healing properties beyond any other plant on the planet— interacting as it does with the body’s own “endocannabinoid system” to keep us fit and disease-free. “What if Cannabis Cured Cancer” explains how we are all born with a form of marijuana already in our bodies, and when pot is consumed, the “endocannabinoids” inside us—along with any cannabinoids we ingest—fit together like a key in a lock, thereby promoting the death of cancer cells without harming the body’s healthy cells. A powerful and eye-opening film about the future of cannabis—and perhaps even the future of medicine. Narrated by Emmy-winning actor Peter Coyote.
Featuring interviews with Dr. Robert Melamede, Dr. Sean Mcallister, Dr. Jeffrey Hergenrather, Dr. David Bearman, Dr. Manuel Guzman, Dr. Raphael Mechoulam, and Dr. Donald Abrams
“One of the most polished, informative films on cannabis released in years.” –Culture Magazine
