is the experience..

I’ve been traveling since my youth searching for experiences of truth. An old soul back again to discover what I left uncovered. I love to love and live to laugh. Enrolled in a school called Knowledge of Self. Paying attention is my drug. Learning to live Life like music and flow with the rhythm, careful not to miss a beat. A renaissance man, Life is my art project. An habitual nomad, I roam to evolve. Music and cannabis are my constant companions. Interested in people, i’m always searching for my tribe. The beauty of the wilderness is the closest i’ve come to experiencing Truth.

Jedi Mind Tricks // Death Messiah

This track gives me the shivers when i listen to it, Vinnie Paz struck on some deep notes on this one.  I used to listen to this one on repeat, partially because its one of the only good songs on the album due to Jus Allah ruining every song he dropped a verse on!  Of course Stoupe supplied a beat like only he can due when he’s in his zone, and Vinnie Paz is always at his best when is talking about personal issues instead of the repetitive murda murda kill kill..

Jedi Mind Tricks - Trail Of Lies

I’ve got a niece and best believe she mean the world to me
and she don’t need to see the shit that they think a girl should be
ninety pound skinny bitches that ain’t even girl to me
essentially this shit designed to take a hold of you
telling lies till your vision takes control of you..

Turn the television off, cousin, it’s a tool for them to clog the mind
Conservatism and Liberalism they divide the line
the natural feelings of a child is to be calm and kind
then they show you ads for the marines and they decide its time
so they can send you to a war behind they fog of crime”

Jedi Mind Tricks ft Kool G Rap- Animal Rap

“Y’all believe lies like y’all was Catholics
I rap in Arabic, so my message is just immaculate
My rap elaborate, drink a forty and blaze a sack to it
My aim is accurate, take your brain and blow out the back of it”

Vinnie Paz- Drag You To Hell

Since 1996, Vinnie Paz has been best known as the fiery frontman of renowned indie rap group Jedi Mind Tricks. After more than a decade of critical and commercial success under both the Jedi Mind Tricks banner and with his underground rap supergroup side project, *Army of the Pharaohs*, Vinnie finally felt like the time was right to take on the challenge of making a solo record.

“This solo record isn’t a matter of being unhappy with Jedi Mind Tricks or me needing to satisfy my ego, it’s just an artistic challenge that I’ve wanted to tackle for awhile now and the timing is right,” says Vinnie. “People will probably wonder why I’d bother doing a solo record when most of the recent JMT material, aside from our last record, has basically been ‘solo’ music with Stoupe on beats and me rapping.” Vinnie adds, “Well, we’ve been fortunate to have a long and successful career as JMT, and our fans are some of the best fans in independent music, but that success creates certain expectations of what Jedi Mind Tricks music should sound like, which as an artist is a blessing and a curse. This solo record is about stepping away from those expectations for a minute and challenging myself to try new things as an artist.”

With that goal in mind, Vinnie headed back to the lab to cook up a new recipe of hardcore rap music. The Assassin’s Creed features guest appearances from some of the most recognized names in rap including Beanie Sigel, Clipse, Freeway and Paul Wall paired with a stellar lineup of producers including Madlib (MF Doom), Lil Fame (M.O.P.), Da Beatminerz, MoSS (Ghostface Killah), 4th Disciple (Wu-Tang), Bronze Nazareth (Wu-Tang), Shuko (Saigon) and more.

Vinnie Paz’s debut solo album, The Asssassin’s Creed, is coming soon on his own record label, Enemy Soil.

jedi mind tricks- suicide

“I only been in love once, then I learned from that
A ride or die bitch, said she’d never turn her back
Take these bullets with you to Hell, you dirty rat
Speakin’ to me sideways, you get hurt for that
You gonna make me bring the Hologramic verses back”

-Vinnie Paz

Lyrically one of Vinnie Paz’s most hardcore songs.  This is a classic Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind beat as well.

RE: Music is the Weapon Vol.2

I find it very odd that you included a Vinnie Paz track on your latest mix. “Keep Movin’ On” is certainly an attempt at socially conscious songwriting, but it comes from an artist with a long history of regressive preoccupations. It’s actually kind of jarring to see his name alongside such genuinely thoughtful and progressive artists as Monch, Mos Def, and Nas. I’ve personally nominated Mr. Paz as the most homophobic rapper in hip-hop, which is only a marginal exaggeration. ”Keep Movin’ On” makes mention of the popular conspiracy theory about HIV/AIDS being a disease manufactured by the U.S. government. (The reality is actually much more sinister: the Reagan administration was content to simply ignore a disease that was killing off an entire generation of gay men.) One might reasonably question why the fuck Vinnie Paz cares where AIDS came from, as it’s a disease that’s taken the lives of countless gay men, a group that Vinnie Paz himself despises. I don’t want you to feel that I’m beating you up on this. I actually enjoy your blog very much, and wouldn’t bother making this argument if I wasn’t genuinely interested in the work you are doing.

Thanks for this, I actually appreciate criticism if I feel it is coming from a place of honesty. I think the world would be a much better place if people had more friends that checked each other on their bullshit.  I think this is an interesting topic of discussion and one that I could run on about. I always prefer these types of debates in person but I will do my best to express my thoughts in writing. Here is my response.
