I think this quote makes it clear what the American governments position on the Occupy movement is.
Mistah Rapsey is my name..
staying underground is the experience..
I’ve been traveling since my youth searching for experiences of truth. An old soul back again to discover what I left uncovered. I love to love and live to laugh. Enrolled in a school called Knowledge of Self. Paying attention is my drug. Learning to live Life like music and flow with the rhythm, careful not to miss a beat. A renaissance man, Life is my art project. An habitual nomad, I roam to evolve. Music and cannabis are my constant companions. Interested in people, i’m always searching for my tribe. The beauty of the wilderness is the closest i’ve come to experiencing Truth.
music, graffiti, vinyl, treeplanting, & mixtapes..
Love is an Action. Love is the Answer. Love is the Movement.
NYPD arrest retired Philadelphia police Cpt. Ray Lewis
“All the cops are just workers for the one percent, and they don’t even realize they’re being exploited. As soon as I’m let out of jail, I’ll be right back here and they’ll have to arrest me again.”
- Ray Lewis (retired Philadelphia police Captain)
I have a feeling this will be the first of many cops to join the people. After all who really wants to protect their own oppressors?
We call on all police officers to disobey illegal orders and follow the example Captain Raymond Lewis and others who stand proudly in solidarity with the 99%.
“The reason I’m down here is because I’m tired of seeing suffering of so many people while you have 1 percent who is accumulating all this wealth on the backs of all the workers,” says Ray Lewis, a retired police captain from the Philadelphia Police Department. He critiques his colleagues for “basically just enforcing the laws of the dictators, which is the 1 percent. They’re having their healthcare cut, their pensions cut, and their salaries reduced. And they don’t even realize it.”
Occupy Bat Signal for the 99%
The Bat signal idea is genius. I got such a powerful feeling of global community at the end when they started naming all the occupy movements, it must have been even more powerful in person. If you haven’t taken part in the occupy movement yet, you don’t know what you are missing out on. Overcome your fears and OCCUPY with love!!
Immortal Technique on OWS: “People realize how disenfranchised they are”
RT delves a little deeper into what lies behind the Occupy movement, our correspondent Alyona Minkovsky talks to the political rapper Immortal Technique. He thinks a gradual erosion of basic rights has inspired the nationwide wave of protest.
The Next // This American Life ft. Talib Kweli & Immortal Technique
The Next is comprised of MC Mojo the Cinematic (of Dujeous renown) and guitarist Taylormade Sounds. For their debut single (yes, this is a debut AND a world premiere!) they got the homies Talib Kweli and Immortal Technique on board, just to let you know they’re serious (for the recs, they’re serious). But just as important as the artist credits is the information that 25% of the proceeds from this song will got to the #OccupyWallStreet movement via the Alliance for Global Justice.
This track is featured on my upcoming mixtape ‘Music Is The Weapon Vol.2’ dropping soon..

I really appreciate his ability to tell it like it is. I would like to see a world with more people who are capable of critical thinking. We wouldn’t have to still be protesting all this bullshit if people would just learn how to think for themselves.
