Immortal Technique // Watch Out Freestyle
Technique goes hard on this beat. I am so underground that i heard this beat for the first time on this freestyle months before i heard the Rick Ross song!
Mistah Rapsey is my name..
staying underground is the experience..
I’ve been traveling since my youth searching for experiences of truth. An old soul back again to discover what I left uncovered. I love to love and live to laugh. Enrolled in a school called Knowledge of Self. Paying attention is my drug. Learning to live Life like music and flow with the rhythm, careful not to miss a beat. A renaissance man, Life is my art project. An habitual nomad, I roam to evolve. Music and cannabis are my constant companions. Interested in people, i’m always searching for my tribe. The beauty of the wilderness is the closest i’ve come to experiencing Truth.
music, graffiti, vinyl, treeplanting, & mixtapes..
Love is an Action. Love is the Answer. Love is the Movement.

Song: I Ain’t Gonna Die
Artist: Illa J
Album: Illa J EP
Jay Dee’s younger brother Illa J is keeping the Yancey boys legacy alive. Bangin’ beat plus dope lyrics/message.
I think this song is very fitting way to celebrate Dilla’s life.

Immortal Technique- Black Cargo EP (2006)
Still waiting for The Middle Passage.
Ivan Ice & Emay- Sounds Like EP
Currently..
Emay the producer/emcee hit me up on Last.fm and asked me to check out his free EP. Most times when i get hit up to check out music i do, but usually i end up being disappointed. Not this time, this EP really impressed me. The beats are really deep and mellow, similar to Flying Lotus, and lyrically they are very solid as well. Emay is definitely someone to watch, download this album you won’t regret it.
Boards of Canada // Left Side Drive
Trans Canada Highway theme music..
Evidence // For Whom The Bell Tolls ft. Phonte, Blu & Will.I.Am [prod. Khyrsis]
“I live my life to open up my eyes real wide, wi-wide
Some people wanna live blind and walk the road
Oh, no”
Madlib x Freddie Gibbs // Thuggin’

I heard whispers a couple of months ago about a collaborative project by Freddie Gibbs and Madlib being worked on, but I had no idea they planned on hittin’ us with some shit so soon. To get things jumped off, Gangsta Gibbs and Madlib dropped the Thuggin‘ EP today. Listen to the title track and cop the EP via Stones Throw. Created specially for Madlib’s Medicine Show Tour in late 2011, the Thuggin’ EP contains vocals, instrumentals and two bonus beats. This ish is hard, I already copped the EP before Gibbs finished his first verse. The duo’s as-of-yet untitled album is planned for release in the first quarter of 2012 (instantly added to my most anticipated LPs of 2012 list).

Any Madlib beat is worth listening to, it featuring a dope emcee is just an added bonus. Here’s the link to the music video.
Jamie Woon // Wayfaring Stranger
“The Wayfaring Stranger” (aka “Poor Wayfaring Stranger” or “I Am a Poor Wayfaring Stranger”), Roud 3339, is a well-known American spiritual/folk song likely originating in the early 19th century about a plaintive soul on the journey through life. Erykah Badu hipped me to this south Londoner.
“I’m just a poor wayfaring stranger
I’m traveling through this world of woe
Yet there’s no sickness, toil nor danger
In that bright land to which I go
I’m going there to see my mother/father
I’m going there no more to roam
I’m only going over Jordan
I’m only going over home..”

Jesse Boykins III // Zoner
You dig this as much as me you are going to want to download his Way of A Wayfarer EP.
“There is a misconception when one is lost in themselves because society can miss the truth behind it. This video is a pure introduction to Jesse Boykins III’s soul and takes a piece of his mind and displays it for the world be a part of. There is the reality of being alone, but also the desire to lust for something that inspires and assists the creation of beauty, a Zoner.”
K’naan // Nothing To Lose ft. Nas
Mogadishu’s troubadour K’naan is readying the digital More Beautiful Than Silence EP. K’naan called on some good company for the new batch of tunes, with both Nas and Nelly Furtado making appearances on separate songs on the EP. Watch a clip for the Nasir-featuring cut “Nothing To Lose,” where K’naan raps rocks, chucks and Fugees while Nas spits Somali war lines. And lookout for More Beautiful Than Silence out 1/31. Tracklist below.
