I was a huge JMT fan; they shaped my young mind and brought tons of perspective to things, even changed my taste of music. But you get older you see through the cracks and what they were spitting had no improvement and progression, this is 2012. Anyway, the track I think best sums up Vinnie Paz is Death Messiah off of History Of Violence. I think Vinnie is an intelligent individual, just maybe stuck on a pedestal with little way to turn.

yeah, it sounds like we went through the same phases and i completely agree with you.  I think Vinnie Paz explains a lot in ’Death Messiah’ when he says, “Some of the things that I said I hated to say, But blame yourself mother fucker you made it this way.”
